» SAT gets a point makeover
When it comes to the SAT, 2,400 is the new 1,600.
That is the new perfect score on the revamped admissions test that debuted with this year's freshmen. The top score increased because a new writing section was added. Additional changes included dropping analogies from the verbal (now titled "critical reading") section and adding more advanced problems to the mathematics section.
