Transition Services in the IEP - This issue of Transition Summary looks closely at the definitions, mandates, and structure of transition services for youth with disabilities, as mandated within IDEA.
School-to-Work Outreach Project - is a nationwide, three year project funded by the U.S. Department of Education. A primary goal of this project is to improve school-to-work opportunities for students with disabilities
agencies responsible for providing transition services and to bridge between agencies responsible for providing transition services and the lessons learned from people in the disabilities field.
Alternative Work Concepts - is a nationally recognized nonprofit 501 (C)(3) supported employment agency for persons who experience physical and multiple disabilities. The philosophy of AWC is that all persons, even those who experience significant disabilities, should have the opportunity to obtain meaningful employment.

Transition Links - from The Academy for Educational Development National Transition Alliance for Youth with Disabilities - To maximize opportunities for all youth transitioning from school-to-work systems, the National Transition Alliance, NTA, formed a partnership uniting the strength of people within public institutions and private organizations. The NTA is working to create a brighter future for all youth transitioning from school to employment, postsecondary experiences and independent living, and to bridge between agencies responsible for providing transition services and the lessons learned from people in the disabilities field.
